Hey everyone, we are continuing to work on the site and trying to get it to the point where it doesn't look like hot garbage blew up all over it.

We are going to try and keep the Events page updated and we are planning to add content to some of the other pages as well so keep an eye on the site as we move forward.

If you have any suggestions or ideas about how we can make it more useful and/or look better please leave a comment below.

The website is done.

When I say done I mean the domain is transferred, all the DNS records are updated, Shane's email is back up and running (using Gmail) and all is right with universe.

All that remains is to organize the site and make it pretty.

Almost there...

Just about done with the tinkering on the backend. We have the domain transferred from Blue Host over to Network Solutions and we are waiting for the name server change to propagate through the internet. I've edited the A records and the CNAME so once the NS changes are complete we can set up an account with Google Apps and get the MX records pointed to Google (hooray, email!).

New beginnings...

Last night the new website was born.

I didn't have much time to tinker with it after getting it up and running but I sent Shane the invite as an admin so he could start playing with it. Supposedly it's a breeze to import from WordPress into Squarespace's infrastructure but alas - this is not true. The process was broken from Square's end and the tools in WP that should allow an XML export weren't there - as in the 'Export' button literally doesn't exist on the backend.

The main task now is to get access to the hosting account for the domain so we can point the A record to Square's IP (and I saw something about the CNAME that I didn't look at too closely yet). We've got two weeks from yesterday before we have to front the cash to upgrade the site to the standard or pro account and hopefully in that time we can get the formatting and media elements put in place. Squarespace doesn't provide email so we'll likely use Google Apps to do that but we have to wait until we get the domain squared away (get it? squared away...lolz).

Yay puns.
