- Confession Statement -
We believe the Bible is the story of God. It was “God breathed” and inspired. Scripture is clear and powerful in its message, sufficient for all of our needs, and our authority for faith and life.
We believe in the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, righteous, just, and almighty. He created all things out of nothing by His Word. He sustains, provides for, and rules the heavens and earth. He is our only Redeemer/Rescuer and will judge all people.
We believe God created men and women in His image and likeness for fellowship and to carry out the creation mandates. But Adam sinned and because of his disobedience the entire human race became (and is) alienated from God, depraved, riddled with sin, and totally lost.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who added full humanity to His perfect deity, obeyed the will of the Father, died for our sins on the cross, rose again to defeat Satan, returned to heaven to pour out the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and to presently intercede for His people.
We believe God has provided a great salvation for those who repent of their sins and His finished work; that He calls, forgives, adopts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, keeps, and will glorify them.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who has been sent to complete and perfect in us all the works that Jesus did for us. He indwells believers, convicts of sin, guides, directs, comforts, empowers, give spiritual gifts, and assures us of our salvation.
We believe in the reality of Satan, the fallen angels, and the kingdom of darkness. Our fight of faith and confrontation of “the evil one” demands belief and trust in God, effective use of Scripture, and power that comes from the Holy Spirit. Hell must fear the saints because we possess Christ.
We believe in the autonomy of the local church, mission of the global church, and the priesthood of all believers. Christ is the Bridegroom and He is the one who builds the church. The gates of Hell will not prevail against it.
We believe that Jesus gave the church two ordinances, which are the Baptism of believers and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe in the physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ, bodily resurrection of the saints, final judgment of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of rebellious unbelievers.
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take Hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. -1 Timothy 6:12
